After the reset login using the default of admin with a blank password fails. Using Netinstall to load 6.49.7 or 7.6 WITH default config also fails using the default of admin with a blank password. Using Netinstall to load 6.49.7 or 7.6 WITHOUT a default config eventually allows access but of course there is no configuration.

A default Customer with login admin and empty password is created when the User Manager package is installed for the first time. [admin@MikroTik] /tool user-manager customer set admin password=adminpassword. After that, you can use print command to see what you have added.

For versions: v6.36rc12 and older builds – Default login is: admin with no password. v6.36rc13 and newer builds – You have to use your RouterOS user for logging into The Dude server. More details can be found here.
